ECOSAIL TRAINING
AND CRUISING

Welcome to your new adventure!

Ecosail Training and Cruising aims to provide safe,
enjoyable and instructive sailing opportunities for all levels of sailors – from those with little or no experience, who want to see if sailing is for them, to experienced sailors who want to gain further
experience in cruises up to 500 nautical mile distance.

We sail aboard East of the Lizard, affectionately known as ‘Lizzie’. She is a Duncanson 42 custom cruiser with a distinguished pedigree.

FIRST TIME OUT

Have you been to the beach or a harbour or marina and seen the boats and crews racing, relaxing and having fun and thought “I’d love to do that”?
Well you can.
Find out whether sailing is for you by taking a short trip (2-3 hour) in nearshore
waters and mild conditions.
Hoist the sails, take the wheel and discover the thrill of controlling a yacht
under sail with expert guidance.
Stop for a swim, watch dolphins and other marine animals, and join
the community of free spirits.

TWILIGHT SAILING

During summer enjoy a relaxing evening cruise onboard Lizzie as we head
out for a 2.5hr cruise.

Brings your family and friends for a taste of inshore sailing and a good chance of spotting some dolphins along the way.

Derparting from the CYC at 5pm and back at the berth around 7.30pm.

Just $92 per person and includes wine and nibbles

ADVENTURE CRUISING

Take a 1, 2 or 3 day cruise along the coast to gain a
perspective you have never experienced before.

Depending on season, we cruise the metropolitan Adelaide
coast, the bays and islands of Port Lincoln and the
Eyre Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and the Yorke Peninsula.

Visit seaside towns such as Edithburgh, Port
Vincent and Kingscote. View Remarkable Rocks from the sea.

Live aboard ‘Lizzie’ and settle into the rhythm of the ocean.

Catch dinner and enjoy the sunsets in a peaceful anchorage

CHARTERS

Do you want to treat your partner
to an adventure?
Take a group for a fun day out?
Have a relaxing week with your family?

Charter Lizzie and build your own itinerary.

With a qualified and commercially endorsed skipper you will not only enjoy the freedom of sailing but will gain skills and experience to help you reach your own qualification goals.

Individually tailored for up to 10 (daysailing) or 7 passengers (overnight and up to 7 days). You and your guests can participate in managing the boat as much
or as little as you prefer.

OWN BOAT TUITION

Thinking of buying a boat or you already
have made the leap?

Feeling unsure about your level of skill to enjoy your boat to the maximum?
Engage a professionally endorsed
Yachtmaster to provide you with guidance and instruction in your own vessel.

Ecosail offers own boat tuition for both power vessels up to 12 metres and for sailing vessels up to 24 metres.

The instruction follows the Royal Yachting Association
training syllabus to reach Competent Crew, Day Skipper, the
International Certificate of Competency and Yachtmaster to prepare you
for the level of skill you need.

MILE BUILDING

Mile building takes small crews (4 to 6) on
longer trips with a clear destination
and timeline.

Assist in the planning of the passage, prepare the charts and waypoints and ready the boat for the journey with provisioning and safety checks.

Sail nonstop for a few days under a rotating watch system to eat up the miles. Sail out of sight of land. Experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime start here.

We take an annual passage from Adelaide to Cairns and return, with crew joining Lizzie in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Mackay and Cairns.

Each leg is approximately 500 nautical miles and takes about a week, and you can stay aboard for as many or as few as you wish.

CORPORATE
DEVELOPMENT

How do you get the best out
of your workforce?

How do you build trust?

Some workplaces take their teams to paintball skirmish, resort retreats
or other adventure locations.

Why not take your team on a sailing excursion?

Sailing provides an activity that offers participants opportunities to make
decisions, demonstrate leadership and collaboration skills.

Contact us to discuss your particular and specific needs and we will do our best to provide you with a tailored experience to get the best and the most out of your personnel.

sailing vessel to another city or port?
